Yellowhead
School Database
Task: To
create an easily accessible database, which would include all schools
in the Yellowhead Region. For each school we would like the schools
address, phone number and fax number, as well as a contact person for
that school and their contact information (phone, fax and email). The
challenge of this task is finding a contact at each school that is interested
in the work we do. The importance of finding an interested contact is
that not all people are interested in being involved with us, and will
disregard us at first sight. We need to find someone at each school who
would want us to bring our services into their school i.e. Girls Unite!,
AIDS speakers, volunteer opportunities…
Who: A cunning linguist volunteer,
who can be verbally diplomatic yet persuasive.
What: Yellowhead school database
When: To be completed by June 20th 2006, so the database is ready for
the 2006-2007 school year.
Where: Database can be created on a computer in the HIV West Yellowhead
office, or elsewhere if more convenient. Long distance phone calls
can be made from the office, and would need to be made during school
hours.
Why: So that we can begin to offer our school services to all Yellowhead
schools.
