Cash Can Duty

Task:
To collect the HIV West Yellowhead cash cans from around town, roll the coins inside, and make new can labels. Then re-distribute cans to businesses and creating a database of when cans were dropped off where.

Who: A volunteer who enjoys the outdoors, indoors and the floor.
What: Cash Can Duty.
When: Ideally, cans would be labelled and back at the businesses by May 15th.
Where: The cans are located in various Jasper businesses. Rolling the coins would be done in the office. Designing of the new labels could happen on any computer convenient for the volunteer. The HIV West Yellowhead office is always an option.
Why: Most of the cans in the businesses are full, and have been battered. They’re ready for a new beginning.

Time: Finding/Picking up cans 8 hours
Rolling coins 4-8 hours (depending on how much coin)
Creating new labels 3 hours
Wrapping cans with new labels 2 hours

Total Time: 17 – 21 hours
